Synopsis:
The Good: Few vampire movies have lasted as long as The Lost Boys. It’s a template for how to do this genre well and it’s one of the rare opportunities to see both Coreys on screen. Almost 40 years later, it still holds up. A great mix of comedy and horror.
The Bad: You won’t get any complaints from me but I would love to see some statistics on how many gay men in their 40s got their first stirrings from that completely unnecessary but totally iconic saxophone scene.
Best Line: “If All The Corpses Buried Around Here Were To Stand Up All At Once, We’d Have One Hell Of A Population Problem.”
Fun Fact: Timmy Cappello as the oily saxophone player on the dock made a name for himself by playing in the touring band of Tina Turner during her spectacular comeback tours of the mid-1980s.
