Synopsis:
The Good: It’s Scream…again. So it looks pretty good. The casting is usually interesting if not always good. It has its moments when it looks like even if going to start working but it doesn’t. Somehow Dewey’s character was very interesting and the death scene the most would think is most unrealistic if actually one of the most accurate I’ve ever seen in film. They do spend a LOT of time trying to prove they’re not a typical horror movie, they’re super self aware…
The Bad: but they’re not. How can you talk endlessly, in film, about what makes movies lame or predictable and then do that??? It’s paint by numbers at this point but they’re telling you what every number is along the way..I don’t get it. It’s like laughing at your own joke.
Best Line: “One generation’s tragedy is the next one’s joke. ”
Fun Fact: This was director, Wes Craven’s final film before his death in 2015.
