Synopsis: A chronicle of the history of the Friday the 13th franchise.
The Good: This was such an incredible walk through the entire franchise, one film at a time, with interviews from the cast, writers, directors and everyone involved. It is so lovingly fine and filled to the brim with cool stories and anecdotes about the films. A can’t miss for fans or anyone curious but too squeamish to sit through a whole one. 6.5 hours and I could have gone longer. Of course Tommy McLoughlin had some great insights to share on pt. 6.
The Bad: It’s absolutely wonderful but they weren’t about to get either Kevin Bacon or Crispin Glover, probably their choice not the producer’s. It will also show you these guys weren’t ‘artists’ per se. It was a money grab and held together with duct tape for the most part but some of the crew truly loved what they were doing.
Best Line: It’s showtime!’
Fun Fact: In the documentary, it was reported that Susan Jennifer Sullivan had died. She was confused with a woman by the same name who had passed away in Boston. As of 2021 she is living in California and maintains a presence on social media.
