Trespass Against Us: (2017)

8/3/2024

Synopsis: The son of an infamous outlaw tries to escape his family’s criminal ways.

The Good: Fassbender and Gleeson are good together. The chemistry was something to see. The setting and backstory both added elements not often seen in contemporary film with an interesting, if gross supporting cast including a young Barry Keoghan.

The Bad: It really doesn’t go anywhere. The payoff feels underdeveloped due to a storyline that just didn’t amp the stakes in convincing ways. The decision to keep Fassbender considerably cleaner than the other characters was also distracting.

Best Line: Keep the change, ya cunt.’

Fun Fact: First feature film directed by Adam Smith. – IMDb
